Harelik, Tiffany
Tiffany Harelik is a travel and food writer with a focus in street food culture. She is a founding organizer of the Gypsy Picnic trailer food festival, held annually in Austin, TX. The mission of her blog, Trailer Food Diaries, is to inspire entrepreneurs to join the food trailer revolution, to inspire consumers to support local farms and street food businesses, and to increase awareness about childhood hunger.
An avid cook and entertainer, Tiffany’s favorite time of the week is cooking Sunday night dinner for friends and neighbors with her daughter in her home.
Austin isn’t just the live music capital of the world⎯it’s the trailer food capital of the world, too. If you’re not familiar with trailer food, it’s street food created by up-and-coming chefs who offer their delicacies out of repurposed Airstreams and cargo trailers, clustered in quaint trailer parks that are peppered throughout the city.
In her travel and food blog, Trailer Food Diaries, Tiffany Harelik is your host on a trip through the entrepreneurial spirits and admired recipes that are keeping the culture of Austin’s trailer food scene weird. In this cookbook, Harelik provides a road map to explore trailer food within the setting of her hometown’s rebel charm. From paninis and cannolis, to tacos and doughnuts, to BBQ and chicken and waffles, this cookbook enables any home chef to become the hero of their next dinner party.
Foodies who love Austin, this book is for you! A percentage of all proceeds from the sale of this book go toward eradicating childhood hunger.
