Rebecca Ellen Kurtz

Rebecca Ellen Kurtz is the author of a riveting new novel, Sons of God.

She is a passionate amateur archaeologist and expert on historical mysteries. She has traveled extensively, studying both religious and non-religious primary texts. This research, along with her own frightening and powerful paranormal experiences, influenced her writing of a gripping, fast-paced, revealing novel.

Rebecca has always been sensitive to the spiritual realm and has experienced many supernatural events, some in the form of violent, physical assaults by demons. These experiences not only significantly shaped her belief in the living God but also add credibility to her debut novel. As a researcher already armed with knowledge of ancient religions and civilizations, she further immersed herself into the topic to deepen her understanding. Theories began to form; mysteries unraveled.

Rebecca earned her Master’s in Communication from Regent University in Virginia for film and television production. Primarily acting as a producer, she also wrote, directed, edited, and created visual effects for various student projects; four of her short films were distributed through Direct TV. After completing her Master’s, she wrote and produced 15 episodes for Reel Good Films, which currently air on the NRB and Credo Network.

Nearly a year ago, Rebecca created Ephesus LLC, which strives to bring forth original historical, educational, and redemptive films and novels. Ephesus strives to stir up cultural and theological discourse for spiritual, social, and political impact. Ephesus selects projects based on discovering and interpreting historical and theological mysteries, seeking out original and controversial story concepts that also raise social, political, and theological questions. The marketplace that is targeted consists of the religious, historical, and the supernatural.

Rebecca majored in history at Goshen College in Indiana. She then began teaching and lecturing, in particular on ancient religions, Old Testament history, and world mythology.

Rebecca, 33, is working on a series of sequel novels to Sons of God and recently finished writing two film scripts, 1636 and Aryan State.

She resides in Chesapeake, Virginia. For more information, please consult www.rebeccaellenkurtz.com and www.ephesusmedia.com

Sons of God tells the story of Raechev, the most powerful female Nephelim still roaming the face of the earth. Two and a half thousand years ago, she incurred the wrath of Elohim when she disobeyed his command: the Nephelim--an ancient half-breed race, the children of angels and mortals--must destroy any of their kinsmen who commit atrocities against mankind. She was weak in her love for her mother, the wanton goddess Ishtar, and was therefore barred from the Creator's protection in the Cities of Refuge. Still steadfast in her devotion to Elohim, Raechev wanders the mortal realm, exterminating those of her fallen brethren that hunt her and seek to breed an army of a size unrivaled since before the Great Flood.

Now, in the present day, the fallen Nephelim have enticed a group of scientists to research the DNA of their ancestors in hopes of cloning a destructive horde. When the mortals begin an archaeological dig near Ishtar's prison in the ancient city of Nineveh, they begin being possessed or eaten alive in a series of horrifying events--and Raechev must return to face her fate under the gathering storm clouds of Armageddon. Rebecca Kurtz's extensively researched novel probes our conceptions of reality, and uncovers the links between the holy scriptures of leading religions and humanity's continued sense of the supernatural, occult, and vampires. Her research is provided so each one can decide for themselves what is truth and what is myth.
