Michele Wong McSween created this book to teach her two young sons Mandarin. Her diverse background, including a Sociology degree from U.C. Berkeley, a fashion design career at Gap, Inc., and being a full-time mother, helped create this colorful, modern approach to teaching children Mandarin.

She is a fourth generation Californian who currently lives in Brooklyn, New York with her husband, two sons, and French Bulldog.

Gordon and Li Li are cousins. Gordon lives in Brooklyn, New York and Li Li is from Beijing, China. Li Li is visiting Gordon in New York for the first time. The cousins are so excited to learn about each other's
