Kennedy Green House

After a flood, the beautiful, historic home of Mary Richardson and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., was ravaged by black mold. Concerned about the effects of their home on their family’s health and the environment, the Kennedys partnered with Robin Wilson Home to turn their “sick home” into an eco-healthy home—one that promotes the health of the family and the Kennedys’ commitment to the preservation of our planet.
Kennedy Green House documents the transformation of the home by a “Green Dream Team,” from the architectural plans to the eco-friendly building materials and power sources to the health-promoting, energy efficient appliances and furnishings. Along the way, author Robin Wilson provides information and tips on how these changes—large and small—can be implemented by any homeowner.
Wilson provides
- Four-color photographs documenting the entire process
- Advice that shows readers the ultimate, mid-range, and low-cost/easy solution to every upgrade
- A focus on maximizing energy, water efficiency, and air quality
The LEED-certified (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Kennedy house will also showcase the latest in green technologies, sustainable building practices, and healthy home initiatives. Kennedy Green House will inspire others to take action to improve the quality of their environment and health, and will educate homeowners, builders, and interior designers.
